Decision

We procrastinate too often:

reconsidering, torturing ourselves with indecision.

Governments do it by establishing board of inquiries.

Call it paralysis by analysis.

It’s better to think things through, then decide.

Correcting an error is less painful than being trapped on the fence.

“One foot can not stand on two boats.”

Chinese proverb

Face your fears

Fears are heavy chains, as long we hold on to them we give them power.

Misunderstandings and outdated ideas, when not faced head on, become these massive snarling beast hiding in the shadows, but shine a light on them and we often discover they are just small things to be stepped past.

Challenge your fears, tear away their bindings and set yourself free.

If necessary, face things in stages, and in doing so gain strength from your progress.

“Courage is the mastery of fear, not the absence of fear”

Mark Twain (1835-1910)

Point of view (Hidden opportunities)

Often times our point of view is the difference between an opportunity and an obstacle.

Incredible possibilities can be found if we a willing to change our vantage point.

Keep an open mind, even in the bleakest situations a challenge  or problem should be looked at from many angles.

“What we have before us are some breathtaking opportunities disguised as insoluble problems.”

John Gardner (1912-2002)

The Future

No one knows what the future holds.

I know that it begins now.

Looking into the future can clear worries and past problems.

Others may try and drag you down, or talk you out of your ideas, don’t let them.

Be aggressively optimistic.

“The mind is everything. What you think you become.”

Buddha (563bc-483bc)
